WNST is pleased to announce our latest grants round supporting community sports activities in LB Brent is now receiving applications.
Since we began in 2012, WNST has invested over £3.2m into local community sport in the neighbourhoods around the stadium, awarding close on 500 grants across more than 30 different sports.
We know how important it is to local people’s physical and mental well-being to keep active, get out into the fresh air and socialise with friends and colleagues, whether playing competitively or just enjoying the game. This is why we are keen to maintain our long-standing involvement within the local sports sector.
The grants round is open from Monday 18th September to Friday 3rd November. All applications are acknowledged on receipt and then considered after the closing date – so there is no advantage in applying early.
To apply, visit the “How to Apply ” page of this web site, where you will find the links to the online application forms for both our Community and Strategic Grants programmes, together with all of the eligibility criteria and a comprehensive FAQ section.
WNST CEO Stewart Goshawk said
“We are keen to continue reaching into parts of the local community where our funding has yet to reach. We want to help ensure that everyone has the opportunity to get involved in the sport of their choice – in a safe, enjoyable and affordable way.
And we are particularly interested in hearing from groups providing activities for women and girls, disabled people, older people and those working with minority communities that have not previously accessed our funding. We’re always happy to talk !”
